ProDoula Labor Doula Training

Hello sunshines,

I have officially received my labor doula certification through ProDoula! I had the privilege of attending labor doula training with educator Elysia Douglas, and I cannot wait to “get my boots on the ground!” My fellow students were so exciting to work with, and two of them shared their experiences as active post-partum doulas! I got to hear first-hand accounts of their labors, all of which varied extraordinarily. Students shared their troubles, complications, and joys around their vaginal births, C-sections (cesareans), VBACs (vaginal birth after cesarean), unmedicated births, epidurals, induced labors, etc. Before the course had even started we were all amused by how much we had learned just by getting to know one another. I felt so fulfilled in that room and I am so excited to start supporting parents in their journeys of pregnancy and birth.
